“Students thrived with Naomi's support”
Naomi is a youth theatre director specialising in devising and physical theatre, text and voice work. She enjoys working collaboratively with young actors to create innovative and engaging work that will challenge their audiences' expectations as well as their own. Her reputation makes her the 'go to girl' for London's top theatre and companies.
Her creative practice aims to give her young performers as much free reign as possible within the structure of a safe and caring environment. Ideas, input and feedback are encouraged, ensuring an engaging and professional quality to their work.
She has explored the continuous debates of identity and acceptance, crime and consequence, and the future of humankind, as well as the outrageous stories found in the world of amateur dramatics, murder mystery weekends and storytelling sofas.
Naomi has worked with various groups including secondary schools as their pupils prepared for their GCSEs and BTEC National students. She has also managed various youth theatre companies and directed site-specific productions for government initiatives.
"I was extremely impressed with the almost instant rapport she had with the students, they respected and admired her and were willing to experiment with ideas and put themselves on the line to create theatre under her leadership...The students loved the experience and really thrived with Naomi's support. Their recent devised work that they created for their GCSE exam was full of ideas they had gained from Naomi's direction."
