Naomi Cortes storytelling at Greenwich Family Arts Festival
Have you heard the tale from very long ago, of how Monkey tricked Lion, pretending to hide his heart at the top of the tallest, oldest, strongest tree? What about Duck’s tug-of-war trick that she played on Elephant and Rhino, and lasted all through the day and all through the night?
These are just a few of the stories Naomi enjoys sharing in her interactive African folk telling workshops created for nurseries, schools and children’s centres - both mainstream and Special Educational Needs - as well as for indoor and outdoor festivals, fetes and carnivals.
Bringing them to life, she performs larger-than-life characters who sing, dance and roar loudly! She creates follow-my-leader gestures and actions to engage all children, no matter how young or old. And she encourages her audiences to continue the stories as they say goodbye.
“Everything brilliant!" "Kids loved it" "Excellent and engaging story" "She's a funny lady" "Best thing I've seen ALL day!"
